Aluminum oxide is a versatile grain. With coarser grits, aluminum oxide has the cutting ability for stock removal or blending. With finer grits aluminum oxide delivers a softer scratch pattern that is often desired for finishing and polishing processes. Aluminum oxide can be used on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
